Journey Through the Nativity

Paper Nativity with Family Advent Devotions & Activities

Welcome!  My good friend Heather Ingersoll, PhD, author at Welcome the Little Ones, and I have teamed up to bring you an Advent resource that we are really excited about!

Journey Through the Nativity is a set of biblically-based family devotions, activities, and a nativity craft project to help your family joyfully anticipate the reason for the season.

Journey Through the Nativity is organized around the 4 weeks of Advent.  It includes prayers, scripture readings, blessings, and activities for your family to complete daily or weekly (your choice).  The activities are designed to engage the senses and spark the wonder and joy of the season.  We created them with preschool and school-aged children in mind.  (However, my two year old LOVES playing with each of the characters, especially “mama’s angels.”)

At the beginning of Advent, you’ll color and assemble the Christmas die. Roll the die each day to determine which Advent activity you will do!

Included in the activities is the paper nativity. Your family will assemble new parts of the nativity each week, culminating in placing baby Jesus in the manger on Christmas morning.  The nativity characters are designed to look like peg dolls and allow for much creativity as they are colored.  Each has something special about its appearance to show who he or she is.

We know you’d probably like to check out the devotions and activities before you purchase them, so click on the photo below to see a sample of Week 1.
